David Archuleta is "one funky white boy"! I say this because he has a depth in his vocals that reveal some serious soul and R&B underpinnings. He has a natural feel for the beat, the groove, the emotion contained in a lyric, and is one of the few "blue eyed soul singers" who can convincingly sell that to a crossover audience. The kid has some much untapped potential in this vein, and I want to hear this side of David come to the fore. Crush is a great vehicle to introduce him to the music industry. It will hopefully open many doors down the road for his continued growth and expansion as an artist. Keep on Keeping on David - you're on your way!
